Saga Advised Investment Service
Expert advice on your investments
More often than not, you're faced with two choices when investing – make your own investment decisions or have them managed for you. But what if you aren’t sure which is the best option for you, or you want to make your own decisions but would like some support from an expert? We can help you with all this and more through the Saga Advised Investment Service.
Introducing your investment adviser
Our expert investment advisers will give you as much support with your investments as you want. The service always begins with a one-off recommendation of an investment portfolio that’s suited to your individual needs, but the help doesn’t have to stop there. You can also invest with ongoing and proactive support from a dedicated investment adviser who will only ever be an email or phone call away.
Why choose the Saga Advised Investment Service?
For your initial recommendation we charge an upfront fee of 1% of the value of the investments you would like advising on. If you decide to invest through Saga Investments Online after your first meeting, this will be followed by an ongoing fee based on the value of your investments. You’ll pay 1.25% or less a year if you need ongoing advice from your investment adviser, or if you don’t need any more help you’ll pay our usual account fees of 0.4% or less a year.
It’s important that you receive investment advice that is individual to you. That’s why we take the time to understand your goals, investment knowledge and attitude to risk before we make any recommendations. After this we will either advise you on a custom portfolio or a Saga Ready-made Portfolio.
After the first recommendation you may want ongoing support with your investment decisions. You’ll have your investment adviser’s direct telephone number and email address to ask any questions, and you will also receive proactive contact whenever they think you should know about something (for example if our view on an investment changes).
You can log in to your online account at any time to see how your investments are doing. Remember you can invest in an ISA, SIPP or a simple investment account online and you’ll also get free access to our full range of guides, research and tools.

SIPPs are not suitable for everyone. If you don’t want to invest across different asset classes or don’t think you will make use of the investment choices that SIPPs give you then a SIPP might not be right for you. Self-directed investors should regularly review their SIPP portfolio, or seek professional advice, to ensure that the underlying investments remain in line with their pension objectives.
